in studio vs. at home, two very different spaces, two very different light sources, two very different experiences

in studio, northern exposure cool light
at home, southern exposure warm light

Many ask me why I don't have a ceramic studio at home. This is because it is important for me to have separation between work and life, especially since I work seven days a week. I love the contrasts between my two spaces, north light in studio vs. south light at home, industrial vs. cozy, monochromatic vs. colorful. Because everything is white and gray in the studio, I am drawn to reds and oranges in my home. I don't hang in my studio, I work. And I try not to work when I get home. This very clear boundary is a must for me, it gives me breathing room.
